Computer Jabberwocky

‘Twas midnight, and the tech support
did gyre and gimble as my guide,
The gent who gave me this mainboard
Fair warning did provide.
“Beware the ugly board, my son,
No AGP, GeForce to play!
Beware the PCI, and shun
The hideous ISA!”
Undocumented evil board,
The manual gone! The labels obscured!
I saw the jury-rigged chip fan,
By twist-tie was secured.
I took the on-switch plug in hand.
The jumpers are a trough?
All sideways is it sticking out.
It does not turn it off!
And as in uffish thought I stood,
The CD drive detects.
Oh frabjous day! To auto play
I offer my respects.
The Western Digital disk drives
Did finally compute,
When installation was complete,
I saw they won’t reboot.
